Experience

May 2026 – Present

Software Developer

Starwood Property Trust

Built a tool that reads hundred-page deal memos and pulls out the key details, cutting analyst review time. Now building search across 400+ past deals and web tools that replace a 20-person team's spreadsheets.

Dec. 2025 – Jan. 2026

Research Engineer

Mantis Lab, MIT

Built the system that gathers 500+ messy data sources into clean collections used for testing AI models. Also fixed the bugs that kept the lab's research app from running smoothly on low-end phones.

Jun. 2025 – Sep. 2025

Research Intern

Berea Lab, University of Michigan

Analyzed 20,000+ student activity logs to find which question formats students actually finish. The findings are now guiding how AI gets built into College Board's CSAwesome computer science curriculum.

Feb. 2025 – Jul. 2025

Research Intern

Energy Systems Lab, Florida International University

Wrote software that controls the lab's high-voltage power supplies over the network and runs several tests at the same time. The change tripled the number of tests the lab could get through.

Dec. 2024 – Feb. 2025

Research Intern

Florida State University

Built a tool that makes large image-recognition AI models 13× smaller while staying 98% faithful to the originals. That makes them light enough to run on small everyday devices instead of big servers.
